I believe finding something to be grateful for, even when we are really depressed can have be really healing. I also believe it stimulates the mind and challenges negative thoughts.

I´m grateful for the short yoga break I took tonight. The instructor was clear, the backdrop amazing and the music calming.

I´m so grateful for my children. What a blessing.

I´m grateful for having a job and that I´m optimistic.

Let´s hear yours! :)

I'm grateful to all those people who have taken so much time and effort to make wonderfull works of art called films. I believe that too often they go unappriciated when it's a huge effort and toll on them to complete the project they're working on. Too often I see people tearing the film apart because they don't like it for this or that reason and nobody realises all the time and effort it took to make the film possible.

I'm grateful that some artists (both music and graphic novel) take the time to read and answer people's questions. That really impresses me.

I always appriciate a good snowfall. It makes me happy for some reason.

I'm grateful to have a warm place to live and enough food to eat. There are so many people in worst shape.

I am grateful for my little doggie, for the love I feel when he's sitting in my lap, or when he's crazed with excitement when I come home.

I'm grateful for still having hope, and faith.

Today I´m grateful for the wonderful swimming pools here who are in fact spa areas. I went today after a big meeting and was just floating in hot jacuzzi tubs outdoors.

I´m also grateful for some quick thinking I did. :)

I'm grateful because God made me me!

Even if life has been rough at times, I would never have been anybody else!

I'm grateful because I feel that I can live with my situation even if it's not the best.

I'm grateful for all the good people that has passed through my life!

I am grateful that I live in a climate that is almost always sunny and warm.

That is something you can certainly be grateful for, MommyofPrecious! The extremes in the weather here can be tiresome.

But I´m thankful for the variety and how wonderful it can be during summer and spring.

I´m grateful for having finished a difficult project today and I did it really well.

I am grateful for my pets, I would be lost without them.

I am grateful for the people who created all the wonderful stories that I love, and that allowed me to flee into their fantastic worlds. They give me both hope and a safe place to hide whenever things get too much.

I am grateful for the weekends. Time to relax a bit is always appreciated.

Whenever I feel the selfpity start to rear its ugly head, I remind myself of this very thing.

Grateful for:

- being in excellent overall health

- my family, dysfunctional as they are :p

- this community

I'm grateful that my husband is home from a week of studies in another state. He's my rock. :)

I'm grateful my mom has been visiting.

I'm grateful my routine will return next week and my depression will be easier to combat with that routine in place.

I'm grateful for freedom, which I understand to mean 1) life and 2) Liberty and 3) the pursuit of Happiness. We are not guaranteed happiness in life, but it is a basic human right to pursue it.

From the US Constitution:

We hold these truths to be
, that
, that they are endowed by their
with certain
, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

1) My wonderful children and their chldren (bring a warm smile to my face)

2) My husband of 22 years (The patience of a saint!)

3) Where I am right now. As much as I dislike Depression, the opportunity to connect (?) with others going through difficult times/ emotions just wouldn't be here to embrace. If I wasn't depressed I wouldn't have joined DF. The opportunity would have just past me by.

Today I´m forcing myself to be grateful and that makes it so important. It´s been very difficult here with the snow, overwork and a difficult teen, but here goes:

1. Grateful I went to a gallery opening despite the weather - and took my teen with me.

2. Grateful for my warm, cozy bed.

3. Grateful for my pets, they are so sweet tonight.

4. Grateful that the snow is melting in the rain.

I live in a reasonably free country, with access to good medical care,

I have a good job with benefits.

I've got "my health". It's not perfect, but I can get out a bit, exercize some, make it to work and Buddhist practice.

There are actually many more things, including the DF community.
