Affirmations are hard for me. People can tell me good things about me but they seem to go right through me. While I was in a partial hospitalization program recently I was taught to write them down and keep writing them down even if I don't believe them. So I guess that is where I am going to start.

It's hard to be disciplined to even continue affirmations due to depression and the STRONG inner feeling that you are NOT worthy. What do you think of the concept that the affirmations might need to bypass the conscious mind, and enter the subconscious while in a relaxed state, in order to cause deep inner change, without the conscious mind fighting it ? This would be concurrent with some discipline of consciously reading, writing, and saying affirmations.
