I was given botox injections in my neck 2 different times at 800 dollars a shot to help with my migraines. they were trying to find a way to stop the constant migraines I'm plagued with . a few weeks after the shot therapy began I was hospitalized with poisioning. I almost died my husband said. They couldn't figure out how I was poisened until he told them of the botox shots. the doctors couldn't figure out why 4 shots could hit me so hard and they couldn't figure out how it'd turned into e-coli . needless to say I have nothing good to say of Botox. The surgeon put just a pain killer in the same spot on my neck with a needle and i had a better effect. only problem with this though is its' 400 dollars per shot. . because hes' a specialist. sigh....Later all -momof4

My wife whos a nurse has just done a botox course. Long story but shes planning a bit of work on the side with her nursing....

She told me they'd told her it helped with depression. First thing I thought was what a load of crap but apparently there have been a few studies. Just google botox and depression....

Totally uninterested in botox as a cosmetic thing but perhaps I'll give it a try. Not cheap but not so bad since all I've got to do is pay for the raw materials.

Not sure if I'm going to like not being able to frown though....

I still got a picture in my head with a load of depressed people having surgery to give them a forced smile like joker off batman. As if that would work !!!!!!

p.s. Anyone who knows me on here knows I'm a genuine sufferer and I'm not touting for business for my wifes new botox business BTW !!!!!

:hearts: Oh psychocandy, all this time I was thinking you were depressed and you've just been working up to this!!!

Only joking - I would raise an eyebrow but the botox has frozen it....

I am a very open minded person and will read up on just about any ol thing. But I have to say this really made me think "what a load of dung". But now of course my curiosity is peaked and I will have to go read up on it. I mean think about those who thought the world was flat and were told it was round. I bet they responded the same way. /shrug

Lol, this is very interesting, but I would rather keep my facial expressions.

Yeah. A friend of mine who had it down says she cant move her face above her eyes. Doesnt sound right to me.

I'm not a very good advert for my wifes new business, am I? LOL.

Yeah, likewise. I think its a nice idea but a sexy smile actually involves a slight frown. Otherwise surely you'd be just smiling and looking like a pyshco no?
