Lamotrigine

Recommended Posts

A year ago I  managed to get off Paxil, and hope that there will be no restart.I am on Lamotrigine now,for about 4 months, tried to quit it but I understood it's not so easy as I thought.Truly saying Lamotrigine  helps me to ease the symtoms of anxiety, and depression.(my diagnosis is Recurrent Brief Depression).Who had an experience with this med? Write please!

I've been on lamotrigine for about two years. I was prescribed it for a mood disorder. I take it with Prozac, and buspirone (sp?). The only thing I have noticed in the past is that I can get lightheaded if I don't drink enough water with it or eat something before taking it. Right now, I have decreased my dosage and that has gotten rid of the dizziness. Sometimes it takes more than one medicine to get to where you need to be. I know meds aren't a cure, but it can help a bit.  I have depression, panic attacks, mood disorder, and ptsd. I'm still struggling. Have you thought about talk therapy?

Hi Shy 80!I agree with you that",meds aren't a cure, but it can help a bit".As for talk therapy. There was cognitive therapy in my experience but with few results 5 years ago.I think now ,that at that time I was not ready for it .But now I want to restart ,and apply cognitive techniques on my own....
