What happens to SSI if my son goes back to college

Recommended Posts

My son has been receiving SSI for a few months now. He came home from college 3 years ago and now feels he might be able to go back and finish. He only has 3 classes left to finish his undergraduate. I worked so long and hard to get him the SSI. I do not know how he will fare back at college and do not know what will happen as far as work after that, if he will be able to hold a job due to the anxiety & depression. But he wants to try and finish school. I was wondering what would happen to the SSI? I guess I would have to contact them and let them know he is going to try and finish up. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you.
