Natasha1
In about 4 hours I will be singing the US National anthem for a couple hundred people at a local event. I'm a Canadian so I'm nervous about messing up the words and it's high and well I'm singing in public. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek. Please wish me luck!!!!
ParaDoxiPaladin
Wow, you have immense courage for even signing up to this. I'm sure you'll be fine once you get out there. All the best of luck!
Natasha1
Thank you! I was asked by someone I know and I love to sing so I went for it. I don't get many opportunities to perform.

Lonelystreet
Best of luck Natasha, you can do it!!! ((((())))) Just focus on the feeling of when its over if you feel overwhelmed, it will give you a positive vibe (it works for me!). You'll be great and not everyone will be solely focusing on you, get comfortable with the space and visualise yourself performing. You'll be great :) I recently was asked to play at my friends humanist wedding in October. Not just to play during the drinks part of the wedding, but as they come down the aisle!! That's still a scary thought to process but also an honour to be asked!
Gisele
You're Canadian, and singing someone else's national anthem? That's commendably multi-national of you! Do it ....before Trump builds another wall ;)
Natasha1
@Lonelystreet I used to play piano and organ for weddings as a teen. Stressful for sure! Edited May 21, 2016 by Natasha1

You sing both. :) Edited May 21, 2016 by Natasha1
Natasha1
I have to say I really enjoy singing it. It's beautiful although I might be butchering it. :(
Natasha1
Omg I forgot the words at one point. I actually went blank. Did some wrong words. I worked so hard on that. Grrrrr. I hope I redeemed myself when I went for it on rockets. Sigh
Natasha1
Was told just now that I was great. Just a little slip with lyrics. Glad it came off not as bad as I thought
