Hello All,

This is my intro post. I have pretty severe depression and anxiety. My anxiety is really bad in one on one situations, ironically I have no problem in front of groups of people.  I've been on a steady slide downwards for the past 6 years or so.  I've been in the military for 26 years and this is really affecting my work even though I'm pretty good at hiding it. I am so grateful to a Dr that saw something was going on and took the time to talk to me, if not, I'm not sure that I'd be here (sadly).   I'm hoping I can get some relief here, i move around a lot so I don't have any friends who I'm close enough to, to talk about my issues and I really don't have the guts to tell my family. I'm also hoping that I can gain some of my self confidence back and get rid of the self loathing and doubt.

.Hi,

Keep talking to us.  I, for one, also have to function in the "real world" and it's  not always ez.  I do take Medication which does help me.  Keeping busy and chatting with people helps.  I take classes (tho often don't stay till the end.)

People here have similar experiences and will be glad to answer and comment on what u r saying.
