Rainahblue
Hi Everyone, I tried finding a thread that allowed everyone to showcase their depression-related art projects, but I didn't find one. If I missed something, please excuse me! I'm no Picasso, but I know that having a creative outlet drastically improves my symptoms. Here is my latest work. It's mixed media and was digitally altered for prints. "HerCloak" When depression hits, she wraps her hair around her like a cloak and burns from within. 1i11ian
I disagree. I think you have much in common with Picasso. I also think that self expression is essential to a healthy life and particularly to someone with a serious condition. My self expression is photography which I guess is a type of art. Take care.
Rainahblue
Thanks 1i11ian, I totally agree with you. Self-expression is healthy for everyone, but certainly if you have a chronic health problem. Photography sounds neat; I love seeing artistic photos. Rainahblue
She's a reflection of my anxiety. Self-inflicted, as I ate poorly over the weekend. (Sugar + fat = anxiety, for me it's a bad combo) Edited December 9, 2017 by KidSurvivor2011 Images not allowed in posts.
HRiddle
That some beautiful work! I also make art inspired by depression, etc., but I guess I'd rather stay anonymous here :p But in any case, it's good to connect with artists who do similar things. Are you on DeviantArt or other communities like that? There are lots of people there who do beautiful work related to psychology.
