Hi All -- I have had my PIP assessment yesterday and it's my first time applying.

It's taken over a year to get to get that appointment which lasted an hour.

I was asked about my illness, what I'm currently doing and how I get about day to day.

The wait was due to people being very bad at paperwork due to a change of name (from me) but also Atos being brought out by another company and other companies bidding for the contract.

If I'm rejected I will appeal hard against it but my CPN and I put forward a good case so fingers crossed.

I applied for this before and got refused. I have major depressive illness and anxiety but I continually put on a face and attend work which is a constant struggle. I also had ECT in March last year. Maybe I should apply again x

I'm glad you got PIP, Tungsten. Having a disability is not a mistake. When people are disabled in one way, their other abilities are heightened. We aren't mistakes of nature.

I listen to ‘ Born This Way‘ by Lady Gaga.
