  1. Thank you for the kind message.

  2. Hi Solarflare, just checking to see how you're doing! Take care my friend

  3. There doesn't need to be hope because that leads one to live in the future. Stay present and try to let go of fear. keep in touch
  4. The noise level fluctuating from the traffic and the number of cars on the road.
  5. Being kind to others, doing something for someone without expecting money in turn, controlling my obsessive thoughts, accepting myself with all my imperfections, not comparing myself to others, doing something creative...... stop trying to predict the future, lower my expectations and not making assumptions about what others are thinking!
  6. How much humans focus on self-gratification and thus we are destroying the earth.
  7. listening to my poor mom, with dementia, in the hospital try to convince me that she can come home with me on my bicycle ; (
  8. Yes, I agree it doesn't get any easier with age. I observe my parents decline in their 70s/80s and don't ever want to be in their position. Who knows what will happen? My mothers in the hospital with an undiagnosed stomach problem, she's always been an OCD hypochondriac..lol. When I was in the hospital I felt that I should/could/want to be doing something with my life. I watch all the nurses, doctors ,etc helping the patients so unselfishly. The nurses taking care of my mom are unbelievably kind. Why am I not giving more back to society? I wallow in fear and anxiety. I dislike the city beyond....but know that I am stuck here and have to try to make the best of it. So, I'll try to get up tomorrow and do a couple of things to make it look like I am trying to get a job.
  9. “The finest gift you can give anyone is encouragement. Yet, almost no one gets the encouragement they need to grow to their full potential. If everyone received the encouragement they need to grow, the genius in most everyone would blossom and the world would produce abundance beyond the wildest dreams. We would have more than one Einstein, Edison, Schweitzer, Mother Theresa, Dr. Salk and other great minds in a century.” Sidney Madwed
  10. Enough Enough. These few words are enough. If not these words, this breath. If not this breath, this sitting here. This opening to the life we have refused again and again until now. Until now David Whyte, Where Many Rivers Meet
  11. Looking at people sitting in their cars in the daily traffic jam, going nowhere and chasing happiness?
  12. Hi solarflare, I hope life is going better and better for you ((hugs))

  13. another one.... A GREAT LESSON There was once a bunch of tiny frogs who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower. A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants. The race began...Honestly no one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top You heard statements such as “Oh way too difficult!” “They will never make it to the top! “ oR “Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!” The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one....except for those who, in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher. The crowd continued to yell, “It is too difficult! No one will make it!” More tiny frogs got tired and gave up...But ONE continued higher and higher and higher....This one wouldn’t give up! At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top. THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal? It turned out...that the winner was DEAF! The wisdom of this story is NEVER listen to other people’s tendencies to be negative or pessimistic...Because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you....the ones you have in your heart. Always think of the power words have. Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions! Therefore ALWAYS Be POSITIVE! And above all Be DEAF when people tell you that you cannot fulfill your dreams. Always think....... I CAN DO THIS!
