  1. Been on Cymbalta for i think a month and a half and I am doing great! No more depression or anxiety :) Woot woot! I am also taking abilify as well. One thing I have noticed is that I am so sleepy all the time. I have tried taking vitamins to help but they aren't helping, I still fall asleep at my desk while working. Is there any medication that can counteract this side effect?
  2. I hope you had a fantastic day :)

  3. Is it better to take Cymbalta at night or day? I know that it depends on the person but I can't stay awake at work after switching to the morning. Does anyone else have this experience? I am also taking Kolonopin which I'm sure doesn't help the sleepiness part but what do you guys think?
  4. So today I took my pill in the morning instead of at night to see if that will help. So I took my last pill at night on 11/29/2010 and just took my pill again in the morning today. I have been on this going on three weeks and this is the second week at 60 mg..... I am totally freaking out. I feel like running, I can't sit at my desk. Is this normal? I don't understand.
  5. Hi everyone.... I switched from Celexa to Cymbalta 3 weeks ago. First on 30mg for 2 weeks and now on 60mg for a little over a week. I feel like I couldn't get through a day without my kolonopin for my anxiety. I'm constantly worried if I am losing my hair and just have a hard time trying to do anything cause I am to scared to have an anxiety attack. Any encouraging words?
  6. How is the drug doing for you? Is it taking away any of the anxiety? You have only been on the drug for 2 weeks, you shouldn't be scared to go off it yet. If it is helping you through your anxiety than just be happy that it is helping. Trying to worry yourself into whats going to happen when you come off of it isn't going to help. All drugs can have withdrawl effects and you talk to your doctor when you think you are ready to come off of it and he will bring you off it slowly.
  7. I am going through the exam same drug change and milligram change that you are. How are you doing? I haven't gotten up to 60 mg yet. I think that comes Monday.
  8. So I should continue taking citalopram for the rest of the week a long with cymbalta as instructed and drop the citalopram sunday? Or should I drop the citalopram now and go up to 60 mg of cymbalta?
  9. But have you heard of citalopram just making things worse for over 3 months?
  10. I have been taking them religiously.... but what I am asking is that I have been taking the citalopram for so so long and he started me on cymbalta a little over a week ago. I didn't take the citalopram this morning because he was planning on me going off it on Sunday anyway. I just thought that the citalopram could be the reason that I am not getting better.
  11. I'm not sure.... I didn't take the citalopram this morning. Maybe that is what is holding me back from getting better.
  12. Hi everyone.... Quick back ground I was on Wellbutrin around 5 years ago and it made me extremely weird and had high anxiety. I went off it and went on citalopram. It worked for 2 or 3 years and I went off of it but 8 months later the anxiety started again. I went back on Citalopram and it wasn't working the doctor put me on zyban and it worked.... than I stopped the zyban and anxiety came back. He upped the citalopram to 40 mg and I got worse, he than put me on kolonopin which has helped. I went back to him and told him that I didn't feel like the citalopram was working for me anymore. He than put me on Cymbalta at 30 mg and went back down to 20 mg on citalopram. I am still on kolonopin and although it helps i still feel anxious and still feel like im not getting better. Does anyone think that the citalopram is what is holding me back from getting better? I really need to get better. Any advice will help. Thank you.
  13. Thank you all for your answers. I know none of you are doctors but I have been on Cymbalta 30mg for about 4 days and haven't had many side effects other than abdominal pain I am also taking 20mg citalopram. My doctor told me I should take this combination for 2 weeks and than go up to 60 mg of cymbalta and drop the citalopram. If I am not having bad side effects can I just drop the citalopram now and up to 60 mg? I want to feel better sooner.
  14. Hello all I am new to the depression forums. Around 4 years ago I was put on Wellbutrin to stop smoking, the drug actually did something to my mind that I started obsessing about the way I look constantly until the point when I was put into the hospital because of sever anxiety attacks. At the time I didn't know that it was the wellbutrin that did it to me. I was put on Citalopram and it worked for me very well. I stopped using it around 9 months ago and started to have my anxiety attacks come back around 2 months ago. I was put on Citalopram again at 20 mg and was not working so doctor upped it to 40mg. After 4 weeks it still wasn't working but I was able to function because he gave me a long lasting xanex type of pill (cant remember the name of it right now) I went back into him after having sever anxiety this past weekend over nothing and he switched me to Cymbalta 30 mg for 2 weeks and than up to 60 mg.... I am still taking the citalopram for 2 weeks but at 20 mg. I really need my anxiety attacks to stop. Any words of encouragement that you can give or similar experiences with good results would be helpful... thank you!
