  1. I hope you had a fantastic day :)

  2. Hi MarcusCole and Welcome to DF

  3. Hi Friends, I have become a member of a group called "No Kidding, Me Too". No Kidding, Me Too! is a 501©(3) public charity, whose purpose is to remove the stigma attached to brain dis-ease (BD) through education and the breaking down of societal barriers. Our goal is to empower those with BD to admit their illness, seek treatment, and become even greater members of society. With respect, Marcus
  4. I've been talking about this a lot on this site (well at least 4 times!), but this movement we belong to has really helped us share and spread the word about the stigma of mental illness. The group is called, No Kidding, Me too (NKM2) and was started by actor Joey Pantoliano (Cypher in the Matrix). It's been great for getting our family to talk about my sisters illness as we all visited the website and passed around a copy of the documentary they made after my dad bought it on amazon for us. "Please PM Member for Link" :)
  5. I agree that there is still very high stigma. Me and my wife just joined a great movement called 'No Kidding, Me Too' after we saw a documentary we found on Amazon by the same name. It's about removing the stigma of mental illness. "Please PM Member for Link" and if you wan to get the documentary it really is very good, especially if you're trying to start a dialogue within a family.
  6. Hi. I recently found this forum. My sister has suffered from bi-polar disorder for many years. At first we didn't know how to handle it, but over the years we've come to accept it and learn how to help. We have become involved in a great movement called 'No Kidding, Me Too', started by the actor Joey Pantolioni. He made a documentary that we showed to our friends that helped them understand. Anyway here is a PSA by them and I think the documentary was on PBS a while ago. We got it on Amazon. "Please PM Member for link"
  7. Hi, I'm new to this forum. It's really great that there is an open dialogue going here about all these things. I've become involved in a great movement called, 'No Kidding, Me Too'. Thought people might like to see the PSA they made, as well as the documentary. "Please PM Member for link"
