  1. Happy Birthday :)

  2. I hope you have a fantastic day :)

  3. Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the facebook situation as much as your inner depression and anxiety. Address this with your pdoc. Maybe a change / increase in meds might be necessary. I am glad that you are going to a therapist, its someone completely unrelated to the situation who has training in dealing with things like this. Even if you do delete your FB account, there are still going to be memories / reminders of her, so I would continue to work with your therapist and doctor. Maybe tell your doc that what you are taking isn't working, and could you try something else. Please let us know how you are doing.
  4. Good for you!! What a great attitude to have! Yes, the Zoloft may be taking longer to kick in / stop the side effects, but it varies so much between people that you just have to give it time. I hope they stop soon for you!!
  5. I had chronic, tension type headaches, and SSRIs helped out for me. Please, do not drink or self medicate in any way, ESPECIALLY while taking your citalopram, it is very dangerous. Upping the dose may definately help, but you will have to give it time to work. Let us know how you are doing.
  6. thank you happy days 08. one i have already said sorry and meant no harm. i do have a few friend that know i suffer from depression one of them was the close friend. so i text my partner ring no answer, by now i am getting more down thinking why do i bother, so then i text another friend told i needed to talk but i didnt know how and can she help me please. i got text back 12 hours later, with the words i was out what up with ya. i am feeling more and more alone and making thing worse please i cant really explain how i feel, or what to do i feel like there is no way to get out of this. I know how you feel. Its good that you apologized, so from that angle, there isn't much more that you can do. But you still have to help yourself. That place you are in right now is not fun, I know. Can you go see a counselor? Or see your doc, then have him recommend one that he/she likes? Unfortunately, you can't rewind time. So you have to act in the present, and presently, you need things to be different than they are right now. Go to the doc, and ask what they think. They really can help. A doc / therapist combination is extremely helpful. But YOU have to take that first step. I hope things improve for you, and let us know how you are doing and what happens.
  7. I had the exact same feeling. I was able to get rid of my anxiety very quickly, but the depression remained. This continued for a while. My doc told me that Lexapro (which is a little different than your citalopram) was geared more towards anxiety. I would go see your doc and tell them what you just shared with us. Best Wishes, HD08
  8. I was on Lexapro for a while. I found that if I took it maybe 1-3 hours before bed, I would sleep just fine. Make sure that you take your last ritalin dose early enough that it wont keep you up.
  9. Dian, I am sorry that you are having trouble recently. You could possibly send a text to your close friend, explaining that you didn't mean any harm. But you also have to help yourself. Is there anyone that you could discuss your depression with, like a close friend or a counselor? You might also want to go to the doc, and see what they think. It will be easier to deal with this situation after you are feeling more like yourself. Take care, and let us know how you are doing.
  10. Princess B, I'm glad the startup has been relatively smooth for you. Just be patient (I know, the waiting game sucks) and see how things pan out. The fact that you are having no initial side effects is wonderful. Please keep updating us on your journey!!
  11. Having my wife in my life has made my depression so much better. She is really understanding of everything that is going on, and even after OD'ing (by accident, but still) she is my saviour. I can't imagine what I would do without her.
  12. I have anxiety of every kind, but I am a guy who isn't exactly brad pitt, so the getting stared at thing doesn't really happen to me. Matter of fact, if a woman did stare at me I would probably go nuts. But this isn't the case for you. There are many meds out there for social anxiety, and they are very good. Also, just remember that you don't have to talk to them, and they are probably intimidated by you anyway (most people stare do to attraction, and if confronted would probably have to change their boxers. If it is troublesome, please see your doc, as you aren't the only one this has happened to, and they know how to deal with this. Let us know how you are doing!!!
  13. First and foremost, my beautiful daughter was born. I also got married, which comes in pretty close. Third, I found this site which without I would have been lost. Despite being depressed, I am thankful for everything that happened this year.
  14. I would have to say HEAT, with Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, and Val Kilmer. I love action / drama movies that can ACTUALLY manage to get a plot in there. I don't have a second choice movie even remotely close.
  15. I am on 20mg of dexedrine 3x a day, so eating really isn't that important to me. Unless it is in the morning before my first dose, I don't really care.
