  1. 3 years ago I developed a severe panic disorder after my wife and I went through a stressful time in our marriage. It was crippling with many physical symptoms (numbness/tingling all over, weakness, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, derealization, trouble walking, tension head aches, brain fog,etc,.). I was unable to function properly for months which caused me not to be able to work. We ended up seeing a marriage counselor and he recommended that I see a psychiatrist. I was skeptical at first for many reasons but did not know what else to do. After seeing the psychiatrist he diagnosed me with panic disorder. I am very sensitive to medications and side effects so they did what they call “gene site testing” where they took my blood and tested it to see which medication would work best with my body and have the least side effects. After the results came back the dr prescribed me 50mg of pristiq. I started taking it and after a few weeks saw huge improvements and was able to go back to work. After a little while was back to 100%. I never had any trouble with it at all. Fast forward to a couple months ago. My wife and I contracted COVID 19 and were laid off work for a month. During this time I had a bad panic attack in the middle of the night. Since then my panic disorder is back again with all of the crippling physical symptoms. I went back to the psychiatrist and he increased my dose of pristiq to 75mg. I took it for 2 weeks and felt like I was getting better not 100% but better. Two weeks on the dot I had another panic attack and relapsed back to all of the severe physical symptoms. I don’t know why this is happening. Did the pristiq stop working? My family needs me and I don’t know what to do. I want to be normal again. Thank you!
