  1. my apologies in the initial post it said you were too fat and I interpreted it as such. so sorry!
  2. Does anyone suffer from loose skin?
  3. My mother behaves almost exactly this way and I have never considered that she might have an eating disorder but maybe she does.
  4. I’m not attracted to chiseled guys but appreciate more a softer body. I’m not sure if I’m alone in this but if he can’t get around to working out it is possible that if he remains open and keeps placing himself in situations where he is likely to meet women he might find someone who likes him just the way he is with time.
  5. Unfortunately I think there is a lot of burnout among staff in these areas that makes them expedite appointments through in a way that seems disregarding. If you had wanted therapy you should bring this up with them otherwise, it seems, they rely on something easy. We always have to be our best advocate, especially when it comes to mental health.
  6. And Paul McCartney in general!!!
  7. Professional sports except the Olympics...
  8. Love, marriage, having kids, fidelity, careerism, McMansions, diamonds, SUVs etc...etc...
  9. McDonalds and at home washers and dryers are underrated!!!
  10. I don’t think anyone knows exactly what causes delusions to happen but there are medications that can help. I would share your experience of delusions with your doctor or psychologist. They may be able to offer you some medications that will help the delusions go away.
  11. Thanks today started off low, these kind wishes definitely help.
  12. I’m so sorry to hear about these wrongs that have been inflicted on you by supposed well meaning adults. It must be even harder to trust or want to open up to people after an experience like this. I don’t know what advice I could give you except possibly to focus on developing positive relationships that feel safe to you. Maybe starting in online places like this where people are supportive. Never give up your dreams either. In time this experience may feel less traumatic and painful and where there’s a will there’s a way. Do you have a therapist you are working with?
  13. I would see a nutritionist and/or a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist to help you get back on track with a healthy diet. I know when I eat regularly or diet I often consume more than I think I have and weight gain is the result. If you think this might be happening in your case you might rely more on counting calories to enjoy better results.
  14. I would see a therapist specializing in eating disorders or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to get a handle on the binge eating. I know people who found binge eating nearly impossible to change. In cases of insomnia your doctor might be able to prescribe you medications like Ativan or Paliperidone to help relax you. Melatonin has worked for me with insomnia too. Outside of ingestibles I have found that listening to soft relaxing music I find on YouTube under search topics like Music for Meditation or Music for Sleeping right at bedtime really helps. Hope these areas improve for you soon.
  15. I have noticed this in myself lately. I do have people in my life that I care about and am attached to but I rarely feel love. If I have ever felt love before it hasn’t been in years. People I should feel love for I simply don’t have those feelings. In turn if they tell me that they love me I cannot feel those feelings in return. I’m not sure what causes this but it does prevent me from bonding more deeply with people or experiencing the richer feelings of existence. Somewhere along the line it just happened. I don’t know why.
  16. What is everybody’s experience with self care and depression? When I’m depressed showering and brushing my teeth and hair all feel impossible. I have had to cut ten inches off my hair from the amount of knots I had in it following a particularly difficult and long depression. Usually during depression I don’t wear makeup either. Now that I feel better I look forward to my showers, have gone back to dying my hair and wearing makeup. It’s a strange thing isn’t it? Does anyone have similar experiences with depression and self care?
  17. If you come up with the money there are many different mail order catalogs that carry sizes up to 6x in the US and Canada too. I learned about many of them through plus sized fashion influencers on YouTube. These women are all different shapes and sizes and are each out there living their best lives. They have been a huge inspiration to me especially when I am frustrated about my weight and feeling low. Shopping at the mall can be discouraging because they cater to the larger niche of the population. But that’s not everyone. More and more businesses are starting to carry larger sizes to cater to different body types. I’m sad too about all I didn’t accomplish. Often it’s hard but I try to do small things to make me feel good like paint my nails or put on makeup or cook or bake something special, etc....I think there are many, many people who share your feelings. It’s disappointing to feel that we haven’t met our own expectations but I guess it’s just part of life.
