  1. @Floor2017 I do agree with this post of yours. There is no point in keeping the grudges about someone who have hurt you as you being a nice person can't do the same to hurt him/her back. So, what could be done is that you can forgive them and clean your heart from all the negativity. The person who forgives, possesses a bigger heart and he is the one finds peace in his life. “The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”
  2. @Hurricane_J Great Post Hurricane. A well defined differentiation between different types of animals and their purposes. And Yes, I agree with you about Food as another natural treatment for depression. It is so vital to have healthy and nutrient diet to avoid from depression.
  3. Exactly. Like any other thing, Social media platforms also has its pros and cons. It's just how the individual user tackles these patforms.
  4. The rapid growth of technology and ever increasing usage of internet in this modern world is fastly becoming a major source of depression. The proper use of internet and the social media platforms to your advantage is good but when it exceeds the boundaries it can become harmful. Today people tend to interact and connect to each other via their screens rather than in person. Hence this creates a gap of emotional connection between them and when needed for support in difficult times they find no one to be there for them. Also some people get demoralizing thoughts and get depressed after looking at others achieving better in their careers and having a more comfort life then them. What are your views about this link between social media and depression ?

  6. Just Don't expect anything in return from people you are being nice too. Your self satisfaction is most important to you and for you to be a good person is what all matters.
  7. Apart from the medications we take for our depression, there are some food items, usage of which helps us to avoid or reduce our depression. What are these food items, well I have listed some of them below: 1. Milk 2. Nuts 3. Coffee 4. Carrots 5. Salmon Fish Although the use of these food items may not completely overcome your depression but it can certainly help your body as also suggested by some of the studies. In general, when depressed you need to have a well-balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, protein and whole grains. What are your suggestions ?

Go Out & Explore Different stuff, Get Your Daily Sunshine Dose You would want to stay inside and lock yourself in one room in the dark when depressed, this you should try to avoid. Gather some energy and go out, explore different things, meet new people and take your daily dose of sunshine which is very important for you in terms of your vitamin D supplements. 3. Do Your Regular Work & Sleep Well Try to follow your regular routine as much as possible. This keeps you busy in productive things and you are avoided from indulging in negative thoughts. 4. Pet Therapy Pet therapy is one the most important natural way to overcome depression as you get an unconditional love, support and companion in the form of your pet. They keep you moving all day and give you a good purpose to your life. These specially trained pets are called Emotional Support Animals and you get a license for them to keep them with you at home or anywhere outside. 5. Do Yoga & Deep Breathing Yoga in combination with deep breathing is a great activity to perform for a depressed person as it enhances the mood and provide a relaxed mentality. These are a few natural ways for me to overcome depression. Let me know any other natural remedy that you know.
  10. Travelling would be the favorite hobby for me. I love to go out and indulge myself into things that divert my mind from things that causes depression to me. Also exploring the scenic beauties of the nature just refreshes you to the full.
  11. Very true my friend... There is nothing to be ashamed of or be afraid of any mental illness. The way you face your illness and fight to recover from it shows how brave you are and it proves your will power to come out of difficult situations. One should try every possible treatment in the process of fighting mental illness be it regular meds or the alternate remedies. Best wishes for all...

  15. Well in my opinion, what help's you the most while going through the phase of Depression is the support of your family and friends. How much they know about you and the amount of love and care they can provide you in that difficult time of your life, will matter to you more than anything else.
