  1. Bad news gcac, I started to notice weight gain and may have to go off my Wellbutrin. I've been on it for about 5 weeks and gained 7 lbs. This is not poor eating habits or lack of exercise either. I'm in the gym Monday through Friday and I lift hard (for me at least), my weight is always consistently around 185lbs, checked today and 192lbs. Really sucks. I'm gonna give it 2 more weeks and see if I keep gaining. Hope you're still progressing man.
  2. I’d say so. It’s really helped with my being tired all the time and laziness. I’ve also been tapering off Prozac so it’s probably a combination of the two. I’m really liking Wellbutrin though and I’m glad I stuck with it.
  3. Glad to hear gcac! Keep us posted. I feel like I'm finally in the clear. I stuck it out and feel pretty great. The only negative side effects I have are some slight gas pain and a bit of fatigue when the med hits its peak. Overall, I don't feel as "heavy" anymore, I'm not always tired (minus the 6 hour mark after taking it), I sleep better at night, I'm much more mellow, and don't get as antsy I used to. I've also been on Prozac 20mg for a long time and have been cutting back on that. Taking it once every other day or every two days.
  4. I’ve been on Wellbutrin XL 150mg and started having Abd pain after 2 weeks. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it subside? Or is it just my body saying I’m not compatible with this drug? Thanks
  5. Will the fatigue go away? Felt energized the first few days, now I’m day 11 I’m dragging. I do a lot of physical activity and it’s affecting it. Thinking of stopping the medication.
  6. The exact same thing happened to me. I took and and felt amazing the first few days. Then I noticed, I’d feel great in the morning upon waking, a couple hours after taking the meds I’d feel like crap and then right back to feeling good waking up the next morning. I recently was bumped up to 300mg XL and was just exhausted all day. I’ve decided I’m going to start taking it at night because it makes me too tired. I think I should be on Adderall but it’s a mission apparently to find the right doctor to prescribe it.
  7. Been taking Wellbutrin XL 150mg for 2 weeks. Felt amazing the first 4 days, then towards day 10 started to not really feel anything. Kind of back to what I felt like before I started taking it. I got bumped up to 300mg XL and haven't noticed much of a difference, just increased fatigue. Will this go away eventually? I know everyone says it takes anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get the full effect. Do you feel anything similar to the honeymoon period again? It was great not being tired all the time and not bothered by many things. gcac: how's your progress going?
  8. Hello, First time poster. I started Wellbutrin 150 XL a week ago for depression. I didn’t “feel” like I was depressed but after talking out loud with my pdoc I thought maybe I could be. I wasn’t sad or anything like that (which is the thought that comes to my mind when I hear the word ‘depression’) but I was angry and quick to anger about small things, irritable, unmotivated, trouble focusing, lazy to get jobs done, not excited about things, always tired, etc. I definitely had the “honeymoon” period in this first week. I was excited about things, enjoyed things I used to enjoy, I didn’t worry about stuff, had better focus, was more calm. I thought “this is amazing”. Today, I still feel pretty good, just not as amazing as I did for the first 4 days when I started. I hope it doesn’t start going downhill for the next 7 weeks which I’ve read quite a few users in here have expressed Anyways, has anyone had success on the 150mg XL and been bumped up to 300mg XL and felt better? I think my pdoc may recommend increasing when I tell him how well I started off. It seems like everyone has had some adverse effects though, like fogginess, tinnitus, anxiety. Also, i used to drink fairly heavy on the weekends and this has significantly decreased my desire to. So that’s nice. Note: I’ve also been on Prozac for over 10 years and have stayed on it with the Wellbutrin.
  9. Thanks for the progress report. It’s nice to see how other people are doing and going through the same symptoms. I started 150mg XL a week ago and definitely had the “honeymoon” period of about 4 days. I still feel good but not as great. I see my pdoc in a few days and I think he may want to increase to 300mg XL. Wondering if it’s a good idea since it seems like there hasn’t been many success stories of the increase.
