  1. No, but it may be in my future. I've been on Cymbalta for years, and it doesn't seem like it's doing as much for me. Are you thinking about trying it, lady? It would probably be worth a shot.
  2. I'm sorry, LH. Is it maybe flu? I usually take oscillococcinum (made by a company called Boiron) when I feel like I'm getting sick with flu. You can buy it at Rite Aid, and probably a lot of other places. I also like to increase my vitamin C intake. Sometimes I alternate vitamin C and zinc (with an hour or so in between). I didn't have health insurance for years, and had a job where sick days weren't allowed, so I learned a lot about home remedies.
  3. Try standing in line at the BMV. That gave me a panic attack the other day.
  4. LOL!!! You sure got a purdy mouth, Nisemono. I was just looking for something for him to watch for a little bit. It must be boring sitting in a cage all day, and every guinea pig I've ever had seems to like to watch t.v. So I grabbed "School For Scoundrels" and put it in. He's a guinea pig, so he doesn't care that it sucks.
  5. Hi there, SuperfluousNinja!! I'm so sorry you haven't had any replies yet. Sometimes posts get buried under newer posts and go unnoticed by members. I apologize. I can identify with a lot of what you've said. I think a lot of us assume that we'll meet our future spouse in college, because that is what happens for a lot of people. It is really hard to look back and feel like you may have missed a lot of opportunities, but there will still be opportunities. I also struggle with feeling agitated on a regular basis...and have used alcohol to deal with it. Lately I've been actively trying to cut down on amount and frequency, but it is hard not to self-medicate when the things you're doing aren't working. I hope you will come back and visit us again, Superfluous Ninja. Again, I apologize for the late response. Welcome to DF!!
  6. I don't know the answer to your question, MusicalMan, but I wanted to stop in and say "hi." Sorry my response is so late. Sometimes posts get buried under newer posts and go unnoticed by members. I'm sorry about that. I hope you will stay and check out the site. There are a lot of nice people here. Welcome to DF, MusicalMan!!
  7. Hi, Deanna!! My apologies for the late response. I too have been dealing with anxiety and depression since I was a child...and an eating disorder...and I've been told by a psychiatrist that I probably have PMDD. So, I'll bet we could probably relate to one another in a lot of ways. This place has been a great support for me. I hope you will like it too. There are many kind, caring and supportive members here. Welcome to DF, Deanna!!
  8. Here's a link to the terms of service, Team Sleep. https://www.depressionforums.org/forums/topic/106575-depression-forums-terms-of-service/ It looks like a lot, but a lot of it is fairly basic. It would be good to take a few minutes to read over it when you get a chance. I don't think you need to worry if it was a mistake to register or not; if you wind up not wanting to be a part of the forums, you can stop coming here if you like. The vast majority of the people here are very kind, understanding and helpful, and you may find that you really enjoy interacting with other members here. If you're nervous about posting, you can always check out other peoples' posts for awhile, until you become comfortable enough to post more. I hope you'll stay and check out the forums, Team Sleep. Welcome to DF!!
  9. I was feeling okay for several hours, and got a few things done. Now I feel tired. That's disappointing, because I don't feel okay very often anymore. I was hoping I'd get more done on this rare "okay" day.
  10. Not sure; I've never had Netflix. I signed up for it, but I could never get the player to work, so I cancelled it. Maybe it was my s****y DSL connection...I don't know.
  11. I took a shower, filled a prescription and got groceries. That's quite a bit for me to do in one day (lately). Now the guinea pig is watching a movie in the other room, and I'm starting to get kind of tired. I was hoping I'd get more done, but maybe not.

  13. "Come on out, come on out Where'd you go? Where'd you go? I don't mean to play here Figure out, figure out What you know, what you know Figure out how to say it clear 'Cause you're more likely to get cut with a dull tool than a sharp one You, you stuck around, You stuck around, You stuck around, Until you got me Then, then you dropped me You, you don't kiss when you kiss You don't f*** when you f*** You don't say what you mean You don’t talk loud enough No pulse in your impulse, celebration is impossible You forgot the difference between equanimity and passivity You forgot you have to try, you have to try, you have to try You forgot that glorious feeling that you get when you get the truth So tell that girl you don't love her And if you do, tell her two times 'Cause you're more likely to get cut with a dull tool than a sharp one You, you don't kiss when you kiss You don't f*** when you f*** You don't say what you mean You don’t talk loud enough No pulse in your impulse, celebration is impossible" -- Dull Tool by Fiona Apple
  14. It was just some crappy horror movie, but I've seen some good movies on there. "Savage Grace" (with Eddie Redmayne ), "The Colony," "Proxy," and "Closer To God" were good (other movies too, but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment). Plus I can watch American Horror Story (seasons 1-5), South Park, Family Guy, Louie, and The Path (good series only on Hulu). And they have some good international movies, and documentaries. It's not a bad deal for $7.99 a month (more if you want to pay for no ads).
  15. Have you ever tried flavored sparkling water? I buy La Croix brand, Ice Mountain brand or store brand sparkling water...orange flavor or lime are my favorites. It's like you're drinking pop, but it doesn't have sweetener or caffeine in it.
  16. Yeah, it is different with male friends...especially if you're married, I would imagine. I hope your other friend is just busy or something, and will contact you soon.
  17. Well, hopefully an apology will make things better, Lauryn. That sort of thing has happened to me too. I've lost a friend or two without knowing what I did wrong. But I feel like if they won't communicate with you about it, there's no way to fix it...and it's not your fault if they won't communicate with you about it.
  18. Thanks for not eating my face, jsop. heh (See previous posts)
  19. I'll be glad to hear how this goes. It sounds promising.
