  5. I was doing fine for several months, was fighting & winning against depression. & today it only took some cruel words thrown at me to put me back into a horrible mental state. I feel so weak & pathetic that it got to me. I am a mess. I guess I'm just looking for some understanding, or maybe tips for overcoming a setback.
  6. I am very sorry that you suffered abuse from your mother. Heartbreak is also a very hard thing to deal with, but please don't think that 20 is too old to start a relationship. 20 is still very young. It sounds like you have very low self esteem caused by abuse. Please don't think that you are a hopeless case. I'm sure that you are a strong, valuable person. You've survived all of your worst moments & days, you can keep surviving. There is something in you that is not dead, that is still wanting to survive & improve. That is why you reached out on here. I hope to keep seeing your posts on here.

  9. Sorry that you were in an abusive relationship, but it's really good that you are no longer with him! It sounds like your mother may be frustrated & concerned about you, so she says hurtful things. I can't say for sure since I don't know her, but I'm thinking that may be what's going on. You should have a talk with her & tell her how hurt you feel when she talks to you like that. I know that it's hard to feel like doing anything, but you have to force yourself to. The little things really do help in the long run.
  10. Since your very stressed out, it doesn't take much to make you emotional. I think almost everybody has been in that situation before, you shouldn't feel ashamed. I wish I could give you some advice, but I've never been in the situation you are currently in. Hopefully someone who has will comment!
  11. As I am neither a doctor or therapist, I cannot tell you what to do with your medication. You should definitely tell your doctor about your concerns over your contraceptives. They can effect your mood negatively. I am sorry that you are struggling so much. You really shouldn't feel pathetic for not working. Focus on improving your mental health, then you can focus on finding a job. Hope you feel better soon!
  12. <<<<Hugs for everyone that is struggling. You are stronger than you think. You can overcome this!

  18. Hello! Since I am not a professional, I cannot diagnose you with anything, you may not even have a mental illness. Have you ever gone to a therapist? It is good to find help in the beginning when your symptoms are not too severe, so you are able to recover more easily. I hope that you find the site helpful!
  19. You CAN overcome this. I know that it's difficult to hear now, but it's true. You need to develop some kind of coping skill so that your mother's & sister's illnesses do not effect you too severely. Hopefully someone who is in a similar situation can give you some advice.
  20. Feeling tired. Put several of my artworks up for sale which is more time consuming than it sounds :p
