  1. I found it, it was from 4 years ago. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I haven't been here in years, but when I was active before it was on a thread for people who have trouble with showering. Is that thread still active?
  3. I'd ask for a referral to a neurologist. It doesn't sound like it's related to the Zoloft to me, since you've taken it for years without a problem.
  4. Feeling somewhat better lately, almost even hopeful at times. Maybe the higher dose of cymbalta is starting to work (fingers crossed).
  5. Another personal hygiene avoider here, so I completely understand. I'm starting to come out of it a bit after almost 6 weeks on cymbalta though, are you taking any meds (besides for seizures)?
  6. I can literally go weeks without showing, and no one can tell the difference. I'm unemployed, 47, and have central air, so activity and weather aren't a problem. I wish I could manage to shower more often, and I do work on it, but when the depression is worse then the showering is less frequent. You'll find that a lot of us here have a real problem with personal hygiene.
  7. I don't have a husband or kids, but this feels really close to home, as my family is also a huge part of my depression. I also have a friend who has been going through a major episode due to her husband and kids, so I think I can really feel your pain. If you ever need to get anything off your chest, my inbox is at your service. Thank you so much Reggie, I really appreciate it.
  8. Feeling decent right now, except for my legs ache. I had a rare day to myself today - hubby and kids went to his parents for a few hours so they could do an oil change on the car - and I think the time to myself really helped. Truth be told, my family are a huge part of my depression - the why is too much to go into. I still have Sunday to get through, so I'm not too optimistic that this ok mood will last for long.
  9. I feel exactly like that too sometimes, like my brain is on auto-fast forward and then I get anxious and scared for no reason. I really hate feeling like that. Hope it gets better for you real soon!
  10. So sorry you're not feeling well, hopefully the pain lets up soon. I'm a migraine person too, I don't know what I'd do without percocet, as I've been living with this for so long that OTC pain meds no longer work at all. Take care.
  11. This describes me perfectly, every day. Hope it gets better for you!
  12. This hasn't been a good day. I'm just sitting here watching the clock, waiting until I can finally go to bed and escape into my dreams. Tomorrow is my birthday, I'll be 47, even more depressing. I have to shower tomorrow too, my son needs to go to the doctor and I can't get away with skipping the shower before I take him. I really hate showers, my water pressure is messed up and it takes forever and it's just an irritating pain in the ass. This time of year is always bad for me, I can't take winter and cold, spring really needs to get here before I completely lose my mind.
  13. I take neurontin for migraines, so I'm not any help really, I never took it for depression, it knocks me out.
  14. I just started on generic cymbalta about 3 weeks ago. I take it at night, as it tends to make you sleepy. I'm noticing a slight improvement, but have heard that it takes awhile to notice full effect, as you usually start off low and gradually work up the dosage. My doctor is going to increase mine next Monday.
  15. This was the first antidepressant I was on, back in late 1980's. It worked great for me then.
