  1. Hey all. Still doing very badly. Today is the first day that I've felt up to doing what little I did do here; thanks for being here, BTW. Now have cardio and pulmono docs added to the list. Something has got to give. Best wishes and Namaste. Zen

  2. so, so very grateful for some time (minutes, hours, who knows?) without SI. grateful for ya'll keeping this thread going 508 PM - It is creeping back and I will go now.
  3. Fewer tears today, but still lots of SI and other issues. I feel like I am dying from the inside out, body and soul. Peace to all, even if it is only for a few moments.
  4. You might try Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction if you have not already. It was very hard for me to "get the hang of it," but once I did, it helped me tremendously. Tons of good free info about it, MBSR, on the web, especially by Dave Potter(?Porter) and Kabat-Zinn (sp). There are several styles of meditation taught in MSRB and they vary teacher to teacher, except I think Potter really tries to follow Zinn. For example, I can rarely do the body scans as they can be triggering for people with trauma issues, but I have been able to do all the others. Whatever path you choose will be right for you. 10. Ain't it the truth! No really, I firmly believe this and it helps me give some higher purpose for my trials. It usually helps me get through my own storm; I always get more back than I give in these situations. Thanks for the great quote 20!
  11. Cool quote and great quote in signature, Kabat-Zinn is incredible and I practice, pivotal word is practice, his mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques. They are hard and I'm not that far along in his methods (I learned a different meditation and mindfulness practice years ago), but they are already life-changing!
  12. A great quote from my favorite book and movie!
  13. Thank you 20! You are the BEST! I'm just seeing your post because I wasn't back long. Love, Zen
  14. Dear Drakey, what's different on nights you don't drink too much. I'm so sorry that you have this burden; it is onerous. Other than letting your own high tolerance be your guide, what other things have you tired? I've been off the boards a while so I'm sorry if I'm missing something you've already explained. I do hope you fee better soon!
  15. I found these Words of Wisdom sometime after I started this thread. It would have been nice to have the following upfront with the introduction: but que sera, sera : Words of Wisdom, For Inspiration, Motivation,Encouragement and Joy "There is nothing quite like stumbling upon a short passage of text that immediately inspires, delights or comforts you. If the words also contain a powerful insight that can be applied to your current life experience, like a glimpse of a possible solution to a problem, or the courage to take action - that little quotation can become a powerful force for change. “A short saying often contains much wisdom.” - Sophocles Famous quotations are enjoyed . . . savored by so many of us, and with good reason. They are like sparkling gems of wit, wisdom, insight, humor, love, courage, and comfort that have come from some of the greatest minds in the world, both past and present. “I love quotations because it is a joy to find thoughts one might have, beautifully expressed with much authority by someone recognized wiser than oneself.” - Marlene Dietrich . . . . “Reading Inspirational and Motivational Quotes daily is like taking my vitamins.” - Rosie Cash” (Emphasis added by me.)
