  1. I am also on Wellbutrin right now! And it also is making things worse! I've been on a variety of things over the years and lately every thing I take is causing an adverse reaction, usually high blood pressure. I have an appt with another psychiatrist for a second opinion in a couple weeks. I'm disappointed the wellbutrin isn't working.
  2. I have been married for 10 years and have three small children. I have suffered from depression since I was a teenager and my husband was aware of my history from the beginning. Lately I've been having a lot of problems finding a med that works and I've been suffering...As has my marriage. I'm mostly angry and resentful because my husband shows no support for me. He's a wonderful father and spouse, except for his communication and empathy. I'm tired of feeling so alone in this and I don't know what to do. Talking to him does nothing, he has no response. I know he cares, but he doesn't speak any words to show it. I joined this board today in hopes of finding some sort of support system. Right now I have none. Does anyone else have a non-supportive spouse and how do you make it work?
  3. Hi All, I am new to this board. I have a long history of depression and have been on meds for 20+ years. I've also been diagnosed with ADD and am taking adderall for that, which I love. Unfortunately in the past 5 years I've started having reactions to every single depression med I'm put on. The main reaction I get is high blood pressure, but also other side effects such as major hair loss, zombie like state, weight gain, etc. Some meds just don't work at all for me. I am tired of trying a new med every few weeks. I'm tired of calling my psychiatrist for help again and again. But my depression becomes so bad that I can't function and that is not fair to my husband and our small children. My question is - has anyone suffered from high blood pressure from most anti-depressants? Have you found one that doesn't cause this? One that worked well for my depression was Cymbalta, but the blood pressure shot through the roof. Another was Effexor and Prozac. Both caused high BP among other problems.
