From: Public Acknowledgements Of Df Members

I moved this from the Pinned list on the DF Water Cooler so that it perhaps would be more visible.

I was going to try to list the names of the members who have especially encouraged me, but I feared that I would leave someone out.

I can't tell you how much it means to me when you leave an encouraging response to my post, or leave a response to someone elses post that strikes a chord with me. It also inspires me when someone "likes" a post I make, especially the posts in One Step at a Time and DF Watercooler.

If I list my small accomplishments that I am proud of, and someone "likes" it, it affirms that they are important and they are "good enough." So many who don't understand what I am going through might say, "Is that ALL you did?"

When someone "likes" my posts about things that went right, it is as if the person is not only acknowledging, but also sharing in my small successes. Not only does it make me feel good to post what I am thankful for, it helps me to read what others are thankful for. Sometimes my mind tells me that I have nothing to be thankful for, then I read other members thankful lists, and realize there are many things to be thankful for.

Thank you to all who have taken time to react and respond, even when you may been going through tough times yourselves.

Thank you for saying so. When I posted that, I had been through so much; so many losses. This group really got me through some darks days.
