I can't believe that I'm really posting on a depression forum.. Well, this makes it official then, I'm depressed.
Secretly I hope that this site can provide me with some type of magic bullet of eternal joy and bliss, but that remains to be seen.
I'll start with introducing myself: the name's BlueEros. Let me clarify why I picked that name: Blue, because.. well blue is obviously
a metaphor for depression, but it's also because I like the color. I'm also a male, so that makes three explanations haha. The Eros part
refers to, if anyone is familiar with, the ancient Greek god of Love. I'm a firm believer in love and want to spread as
much as I can, to as many people as possible.
But I'm depressed, how is that possible? I could ramble about my horrible past, but I won't. I'm just depressed, and unfortunately
comfortable there. So the task now is to move my comfort zone to the happy side.
Do you think I will make it?

Welcome, BlueEros. Glad you took the step of posting here. Recognizing that you have a problem is always the first step in seeking help and solving it.
I understand about the comfort zone. When I'm happy I tend to wait to crash and burn. Now I try to seek more "inner peace with moments of happiness." It's more within my reach. I do believe it's possible and I'm much better off than I was, but I'm not quite there yet.
Hoping to hear more from you on your journey here.
All the best,
Lauryn
