I have been taking Zoloft for many years, perhaps 10 years. Over the years, I have had to increase the dosage up to 200 mg a day. I personally don't think I am that bad off. I have dealt with a lot of dramatic people in my life, and I am hopefully getting away from a lot of that drama soon. I really don't know how much Zoloft is working since I have taken it for so long. I know I have handled many, many problems very well.
I have drank alcohol for many years to self-medicate when dealing with these people. I have cut that back considerably over the last 6 months.
Here's my concern: I am 43 years old. I know my body is changing. I have always been very active, and feel like I'm falling apart. My knees were the first to have a lot of pain.
I still have a lot of stressful/emotional problems I am dealing with. I am really surprised at how my sexual libido has dropped off (erection). I have taken Viagra, which works sometimes. I am embarrassed when I can't perform...and the anxiety doesn't help with the problem.
I was looking at taking some herb supplements like DHEA, Chrysin, and others. Has anybody found success out there with this? I know part of my problem is the stress and age. And, drinking alcohol doesn't help. I would like to get my groove back.
