After getting back on meds and beginning to feel better, I'm still having times where I battle my depression. My ex GF and I have been in the process of starting over, which has added an extra strain on me. Don't get me wrong I am very grateful for the opportunity to work things out with her. We had a great relationship before my depression made things go bad. She has been very supportive and understanding about the issues I'm now facing with depression and anxiety. I want things to be good with us overnight but I realize this will not happen, and it takes its toll on me emotionally at times. She is in a position where she does not want to move too fast until she can feel that she trust me to not fall back into the old patterns that caused our break-up in the first place. While I know this is the best way for us to move forward, at times I get impatient which just causes more problems between us, which causes me to get derpessed and/or insecure.
I did not post in relationship forum because I tried and did not get any feedback. I really need others opinions and/or experience in the area of depression and a relationship.

Hey Tkdan! Hi from another Texan! :-)
You are very lucky that your gf is willing to work on your relationship. It is so difficult when struggling with a MI and a relationship at the same time!
My only suggestion is to continue to work on yourself and try to move forward every day towards wellness. You have to do the work (as I'm sure you know!) to get better. It looks like you are working at it, and I applaud you for that!
I'm suprised you got no responses in the relationship forum. They are usually pretty talkative over there! Maybe you happened to post at an off-time, I don't know.
Anyway, I wish I could help you more, but at least we are here for you to talk to!
