Going Off Imipramine

I started taking Imipramine about 3 weeks ago for panic attacks. I've had a lot of nausea and headaches from it so my P Doc said I could go off. I'm worried because he said to just stop taking it instead of weening off. Has any one else gone off it and how did you do it?

Just to up date I feel a lot better then when I was on it but I am getting some withdrawal symptoms.
