I haven't felt anything in a long time. Numb would describe it well. It would probably take awhile to explain everything but I would at least introduce myself in the hope of others experiencing a void emotional response. Life just has nothing anymore than time to waste.

Hi and Welcome to DF foeggy

I am not a professional, but there is something called anhedonia. There are a lot of topics on DF about it. I have posted some links to a few for you here, so that you can see if you can relate and get some info.

I often wonder how can people be depressed if they feel emotionally numb? Being numb is good isnt? I found it a huge help because I hate being depressed, feeling numb help me escape from depression.

Welcome Foeggy! I'm glad you are here, but I'm sorry you are feeling so numb. I can understand where you are, I have had that experience too. There were feelings I had that I didn't want to face, so I tried really hard to not feel them. When I did that, I ended up not feeling any of my emotions, even the good ones! So, I finally had to look at all my emotions, the good and the bad, and all the situations I had been avoiding dealing with.

I hope that visiting here you will get the support and help you need. We are here for you!

Hi foeggy, welcome to DF, it is great to have you here with us.
I'm sorry to read that you have been feeling numb for so long. Are you on meds that have caused the numbness?
