Hi Guys,
As some of you may know I've been on 100mg of Sertraline for about three months now. Initial side effects were pretty horrific energy wise, but subsided after a couple of weeks.
What I am finding however is that I'm still not back to my normal energy levels, if I'm working I get tired out by the time the day is done, so much so that I know if I went to bed I would fall asleep at 5.
The mentally exhausted feeling that I get is usually, but not always, accompanied by a headache.
Its not enough of an issue that I would consider switching meds for it, I can get by fairly normally, but what I wondered was if anyone has had a similar experience? And if so did you find anything in particular helps dietary wise or otherwise? I take my tablet at around 9 in the morning every day and not keen on switching that around.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I find I get similar lows, I get tired and feel like I could sleep. I have to go do something to get my mind focused on something else. I am also getting headaches. I am trying sea kelp to improve metabolic function, as I displayed a lot of hypothyroidism symptoms even though thyroid test came back normal. If it works I will let you know, I also find water helps with the headache< I am drinking 3 litres of water, headaches eases off when I am on the third litre of water, hope this helps and would like to hear of any other ways of dealing with it.

Thanks Donna for your reply. It is odd isn't it?! Interesting you bring up hypothyroidism - both my mum and grandma had that and I get tested every few months but nothing comes up... maybe the two things are related in some way... I'll try water, thanks!
Also I find that eating helps too, seems to give you the energy boost to push through it. One thing that definitely pulls me out of it (and I'm not recommending it!) are energy drinks - I've had to work late recently so had one or two to help stay awake and it completely clears the headache and tiredness 100% - Possibly to do with the vitamins B6 and B12 that they have in so I may give vitamin supplements a try...

Hi Khoma_12,
Have you asked your Dr. about the fatigue? I'm sure eating (especially something with high protein) helps, and staying hydrated would be another recommendation, although I'm really bad about drinking water myself. Vitamin B12 is helpful for fatigue. I take it and it seems to help, and I always feel better if I'm outside or exercising.
Sincerely,
MaddieLouise
