Hi everyone,
I've been active on other English forums other than this one and I've met online a girl who had OCD. But it wasn't the washing hands and fear of things not being clean enough that was the problem, she was a perfectionnist. She was obsessive about money although she was already very wealthy and was extremely perfectionnist. Her biggest fear was to not be successful in life. There were many reasons as to why she had that fear but basically she always wanted to have the perfect grades, she always wanted to express herself with proper English as well, etc. Does anyone here has this ''kind'' of OCD? It seems more rare but I don't know if that is true.

I am a perfectionist, which basically means that I can't shake off the feeling that no matter how hard I try, I'll never be good enough. It causes me to have a very low self-esteem, because I overly criticise myself and belittle my achievements. It's extremely annoying and most of all debilitating, because it inhibits my capabilities.

I made a research more in depth on Google and I found part of the answer to my question.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is different than the obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.

So that girl had OCPD and not OCD.
