I have been on fluoxetine for a long time 16 years to be precise and maybe this is the problem i have with withdraw

when i got down to 3 capsules per week after 4 weeks i felt snappy and very very irratible also my depression returned but not anything major just felt really down .

Hi Darren. It is very important that you taper off any medication under the supervision of your doctor.
Please discuss this with him/her.
Best wishes.
