Hi, i just started Mirtazapine, i took my second 15mg dose last night. I was on Cymbalta for a week but the side effects were to much for me.

So far im feeling very very fuzzy/groggy during the day time, all day, but i have heard (and am hoping!) that this will pass quite quickly.
I also had a very vivid dream last night, which i actually quite enjoyed! I am also getting my appetetite back, i must make the effort to eat fruit rather than chocolate!

Anyway, thats me and where i am at the moment.
Thanks for reading,
Nick

I wish I could stop the dreams myself. I must admit though they are not quite as vivid.

But when I had flu the dreams were absolutely insane and very hard to snap out from.

Good luck, it's a good AD.

I take 45 mg Remeron, and for me, the daytime sleepiness went away after the first week or two. Also, I've heard that at 30 mg or higher, it is less sedating than at 15 mg. I don't do well with meds that make me sleepy so my pdoc started me out at 30 mg. In general, it is a good antidepressant with only sleepiness and appetite increase being the most common side effects. I could do without the appetite increase. It seems that that side effect doesn't go away, at least for me.

Hi Nick,

I just started it last week as well.
I felt really foggy for the first 5-6 days. My main concern is the weight gain. I eat waqyyyy too much junk food, and I am afraid I am going to get sick.
but I feel that it is helping with my depression, i feel better day by day. I have more energy. I dont know if I will continue to take it though because I can't tolerate this hunger.
