Does anyone know if you can just jump from one SSRI to another without any weaning? I was taking Celexa a while back, but went off my meds. I felt like I was actually among the living on that but this Zoloft doesn't seem to be helping. I still feel like a blob that doesn't want to be bothered to get better, yet still feels guilty about it.

Anyway can you switch between them? Anyone know?

Don't know. I am on celexa and would love to change to something else

You can certainly switch to another SSRI without a doubt. The weaning off thing is debatable, it really depends on how bad your withdrawals are. Whenever I switch meds, my doc just tells me to take both meds for the first couple days and then discontinue the original ineffective med (I was actually in the same situation as you, I was taking Zoloft and switched over to Lex, didn't have any problems, maybe because Zoloft didn't do jack for me).

P.S. One exception to this would be if you were taking Effexor. Even though I was starting a new med after quitting Effexor, I still took 2 weeks to wean off of it while I started the new medication, just because the withdrawal from Effexor absolutely sucks monkey balls, and can really screw you up. Lots of AD's have withdrawal effects, it's just that Effexor's have been known to be particularly gnarly
