Hi,
Apologies if this is not in the correct place as I am posting a new topic for the first time.
I want to know has anyone been on this generic and what was it like as I have read the generics maybe do not work as well as the brand name Wellbutrin.

I have recently started taking the 300mg tab once a day and feel a bit anxious and spaced out.
Is this normal and will it go away.
I also take 20mg citalopram for anxiety.
I would be really interested in any responses.

There are several different generic manufacturers of bupropion hcl now. It is hard to get your pharmacist to provide a specific one consistently, but in my experience the Teva version (yellow football with 189 on one side) is terrible. The Actavis version (small round white with 141 on one side) worked fine for me. I was on the Actavis for a long time, doing fine, then when I refilled my prescription 6 weeks ago I got the Teva and soon started to feel like it wasn't working. I stopped being functional. Unfortunately my Dr. was away for a month, so when he returned he gave me a prescription for the expensive name brand, which has brought me out of the funk, more or less over the past two weeks. I just got a new refill of generics, from a different supplier, and thankfully they are the Actavis version so I don't have to return them.
