Hi all,

I have been on Lexapro for about 6 weeks now, starting with 5mg for the first 3 or 4 weeks then up to 10mg for about 8 days and now I have been on 15mg for the past 5 days or so. I went to my psychiatrist the other day and he prescribed me Cymbalta on top of the Lexapro. Right now, I'm on 30mg of Cymbalta with the 15 mg of Lexapro. After 1 week of the 30mg of Cymbalta I will be upped to 60 mg. So far, I'm not gonna lie, it's been hell for the past 2 days with the combo. I wake up anxious as hell(cuz I take them all at night) and I become depressed by evening time. I just wanted to know if anyone else knows about this combo or has tried it, please share your experiences if you have tried it. THANKS!

im not sure why the doctor prescribed you cymbalta on top of lexapro... i woulda thought he would have prescribed you someting to augment the SSRI..some like an NRI, wellbutrin or something. i dunno it doesnt make much sense to me. cymbalta IS an SNRI..it affects serotonin aswell...i cant see the point of the lexapro. dont think youll find many people who tried this combo..
