So, after a month of being on 150XL (and 300 XL for a few days during that period), my doctor and I have decided that it's not working for me in the way it should and after hearing more about my type of depression, he's switching me to citralopram. I've started that now (10mg) but he said to quit the Wellbutrin I should just stop taking it. I don't want to have nasty withdrawal effects or a possible seizure (um, scary) so I'd love to ask your advice...should I just stop or should I take it every other day for a little while? If you've been on XL, please let me know your thoughts.

We're not profeswsionals and can't give you advice how to come off your meds. It would be best to ask your pdoc about coming off Wellbutrin slowly and how you should do it. My experience swwitching from 450mg of WB immediately to another AD didn't cause any withdrawals nor seizure activity. We're all different and respond/react to meds differently. You might not have withdrawals switching ADs. Call your pdoc and discuss your concerns with him/her.
