I go out almost everyday to school. =/ But if I didn't have school, probably 1-3 times a week because of my parents. If I had a choice, probably never. lol. I always have to have someone to hang around with. Or I won't leave the house. I don't know how you do 1 -2 times a month... No grocery shopping? =/

I dont go out as often as I should, but I do go out a few times a week or I think me and my kids would starve to death.

Its always hard to get out of the house but, its like I have to have a good reason to leave. I dont have a job so that makes it even harder. But then I think that most of the stuff I like doing is in the house anyway.

I'm in school and really don't like being at home anyway. Anywhere from once to four different times a day. Do I have ADHD? Maybe.

i substituted work for school =P
i can spend one entire day not leaving my apartment..but after that i begin to get depressed and destructive. not getting out is a huge trigger for me. but i am fortunate not to have agoraphobia or social anxiety.

I go out almost everyday to school except Thursdays, that is my day off of school. I much rarely stay at home and sleep or spend time with all my animals and my boyfriend.

Generally 1 - 3 times per week, not counting going into my own backyard. I'll tend to go out Sunday's to socialise with my friends... but any other time it's because I actually HAVE to do something... see my doctor, or a family thing etc. If i'm in a particularly okay mood, sometimes I force myself to go to the local shops, just for exercise and fresh air.

I almost always feel better when I go out. It doesn't matter much where I go. Just getting out and doing something/talking to someone takes my mind off of my own problems.

I used to go out all the time. Now, it's becoming increasingly difficult. I take care of my sis's dogs 5 afternoons a week; otherwise, I would probably just stay home.

I get out pretty often, but usually it takes a lot for me to get up and get ready, i'm always so tired! I have to go to school, so that counts.

But if i go out i just like to go watch movies or tv at my boyfriends house. Things like that, i don't like venturing off too far away, and i like staying home too

Several times a day minimum with the doggie.

But now that I work from home instead of in an office, it surprises me sometimes to realize that on some days I didn't leave except for walking the dog!! Not because it bothers me to get out, just because I got busy!!

I find myself breaking up my errands now though instead of doing one big trip just to get out more. Still adjusting to this whole working from home thing!

I have to leave my house everyday on weekdays for work and school. I don't mind the work at all, I like my job and I'm comfortable there. However, being at school has been the real anxiety-inducer. & i wasn't like this the first year...don't know what changed but the more I avoid school the less comfortable I am in the situation. It's like i'm out of practice keeping on my "face" at school. And by "face," I guess I mean my demeanor? Not sure how to describe it but it's kind of like I'm only comfortable in situations that I feel complete apathy towards. And before, I used to walk around campus just doing my thing not caring the least bit about anyone else around me or what they thought. That was kind of my "face." Now though, I just feel like a total awkward mess. & because of this, I refrain from going out these days, i've stopped talking to friends and am completely home bound when I dont have work.

I don't have school or a job now, so I only get out about twice a week to go to the library-- and that's just because I need a steady flow of books and movies to keep me occupied. Hopefully once winter's over I'll be less dormant, even if I don't go anywhere in particular it would be nice just to wander around outside some.
And hopefully I'll eventually be well enough to hold down a job or classes.

I am not working a regular job right now, and I have gotten into a rut where I don't go out hardly ever. I would go to therapy about every other week, so I would go out then. It has become normal for me to not even go outside for a week or more at a time. I have really isolated myself here where I live. Hopefully, I will be getting out more soon.

I as well have been only getting out 2 or 3 times a week. For the first time in my life I have gone many months without working steadily, so the lack of money, plus having no routine in the morning has gotten me into the bad habit of sleeping during the day and staying up most of the night.

I am trying to get part-time work and working with my social worker to get into social events that at least get me out of my apt and into the err real world?

When I have a good supply of books and enough groceries I could stay in 2 weeks straight...and then it's quite difficult to get out again.

If I had it my way, the answer might be never, but I work and get out almost every day. I had a relapse a couple of years ago, and never cared if I ever went out again, as I stared to get agoraphobia. All I can say about this kind of anxiety disorder is that you don't want it. Don't get too comfortable about not going out, as it's a real chore to retrain your brain not to respond to the anxiety provoking thoughts that go with this. I felt like Alfred Hitchcocks's "The Birds" were going to swarm over me, or something. I couldn't stand on the back porch for any longer that a couple of minutes. It took meds and a couple of weeks of trying, trying and trying for me to go to the grocery store without having panicy thoughts and it wasn't the highlite of my life.

Get outside a little everyday, just to keep in practice if you have anxiety type disorders. You'll appreciate the fact that you can go anywhere you want without freaking out. It's not so much about wanting to go out; just having the ability to go out if you need to. Once that's taken away, it's like giving up part of your freedom. Reminds me of the sinking feeling of having to leave your car in the shop. Now, how am I going to get around? The thing about agorophobia, is that you don't want to get around.......

If I had a choice, it would only be once or twice a week. Maybe even less. But I have to work. On the weekends if I am home alone (husband is in the Air National Guard so one weekend a month I am alone) then all I do is sleep. As a matter of fact, I just woke up for the second time. I don't go out at all. My husband is usually the one who gets me to go out.

I just can't be bothered. I don't want to deal with life outside my house. I don't know, maybe I am just too lazy to move.

I go out when I have class, for longer trips because it takes me an hour to get to school and then an hour back from school to home.
I go out in smaller trips when I go to the mall and do shopping, maybe once or twice a week for the smaller trips.
In all, maybe two or three times a week.

When I am on a depressive episode, I have trouble even going to school, which I have to, so I don't even think about other places. My doctor said I should go out the most I can without forcing myself, so I'm trying to do that. It's actually pretty useful and not as boring as I thought it would be. (Like going to the supermarket, etc.) Although I do fatigue very quickly. I've never been a person that likes and goes out a lot, I'm definetely a home person.

I very rarely go out. I am in college right now and many times I even miss class because all I want to do is lie in my bed all day. This semester, I am alone as far as friends go, but even if I had people inviting me to go hang out I would probably make up some excuse not to. Also, I miss many opportunities like jobs and trips because I just don't want to deal with all that.
There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness, and it's all over much too quickly. The... the other important joke, for me, is one that's usually attributed to Groucho Marx; but, I think it appears originally in Freud's "Wit and Its Relation to the Unconscious," and it goes like this - I'm paraphrasing - um, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member."

I only go out of the house to go to school and to shop for food. I don't have any friends to hang out with so i don't have anyone over either. I'm in college right now so i kinda have to go to classes even when all i want to do is lay down in my bed and sleep. I've missed out on alot of trips we take with classes becuase i am very shy and don't know anyone in the classes. I like the seclusion though sometimes it gets alittle overwhelming. I have literally gone three days without speeking to anyone even though i went to classes every day.

I work from home, so there is no real need for me to get out. But I try and go out most days because my son needs to be taken to playgroups and for walks. If not for him, I would probably not leave the house at all.
