Because of the ill side effects from both Depakote and Cymbalta my doctor changed me from taking it in the morning to bedtime. I am feeling so much better, and no migraines and tremors (so far).
Unfortunately I cannot take my migraine meds anymore (migraines stemming from a head injury in a car accident) because the mixture of Cymbalta and it causes another serotonin issue. So it is ginger ale, and when it gets bad my muscle relaxer.

I think perfectionism is based on the obsessive belief that if you run carefully enough, hitting each stepping-stone just right, you won't have to die. The truth is that you will die anyway and that a lot of people who aren't even looking at their feet are going to do a whole lot better than you, and have a lot more fun while they're doing it.

With the depakote make sure you get blood tests to get your liver checked, its very important. Depakote isnt a permanent drug. I was taken off of it because of liver enzyme inbalance or something like that but as for it being a psyche med, it works very well. What does cymbalta do?

Yes I get them donee once a month, it should be more but I see my psychiatrist only once a month. Cymbalta is for depression.

Tara, what dosage of Depakote do you take? I just started that med recently after taking it years ago. What side effects were bothersome when you took it in the morning? My biggest problem is nausea. I take it at night, because I don't have to go anywhere at that time of the day.
I am glad you haven't had any migraines. Depakote and other anticonvulsants can lessen the frequency of attacks if taken over a period of time. There are some migraine medicines that you can take with Cymbalta. The triptans like Imitrex and Zomig are a problem as you said because of the posibility of serotonin syndrome related to too much serotonin. Ask your doctor about other meds that you can take when an attack occurs just like you would take a triptan.

I take 1000 mg of Depakote per day all at night I'm in the process of being taken off of it however. Being replaced with Topiramate. Depakote just wasn't doing it's job for me. To be fair many other drugs haven't either as of yet. However one day I think the right combination will come along.....I Hope!
