furiousseasons.com/ - NEW!
I write a lot about mental illness on this site. I am not a doctor or therapist and I am not giving you medical advice. You and your own doctor know your body, mind and behavior in all their intricacies. I don’t.
What I am trying to do is get Americans of every stripe to think about mental illness in a different way. I am also hoping to get the mentally-ill to think about their own plight in more expansive ways that they will ever hear from their doctor or therapist.

Omega-3 for bipolar disorder - Restoring the balance - NEW!
This article gives the text of an interview with Dr Andrew Stoll of Harvard University given in September 2001. His pilot study (Stoll et al, Archives of General Psychiatry, 1999) indicated that adding omega-3 fatty acids to conventional treatment could protect against relapse in adults with bipolar disorder. This sparked a series of larger studies to investigate this further, which are still ongoing.
