Help Topic: Avatars
You should be able to upload an Avatar without any problems.
The important thing is to make sure the image is a reasonable size to start with.
If the image is a little large, the forum will resize it for you.
The Image should be PG rated and not a gif.
To upload your AV, click on the 'My Controls' link at the top of the page.
You will be taken to your control panel, with a series of menus down the left side.
Scroll down to the 'Personal Profile' section
Select the 'Edit Avatar Settings' link
You will be taken to the AV upload area.
You can then either click on the go button next to the drop down with 'Base Gallery' in it and select one of our existing images (change the gallery's if you wish). Or you can enter the URL from a remotely hosted image.
You also can press the browse button and select an image to upload from your PC.
Finally, press the 'Update Avatar' button to make that image your avatar.
If you have any problems, email the image you want to use to Coop @ depressionforums.org and He will resize it and upload it for you.
