Portals are homepages - Web sites that serve as starting points to other destinations or activities on the site, initially thought of as a "home base" type of Web page. Most major search engines and directories have positioned themselves as "portals". Often portals offer access to a number of sources on their sites, providing guidance to users for finding information. Portals Offer a wide variety of resources, services and links, especially ones that offer services within a particular industry, occupation or field. On the front page of the DF Portal we have the latest news, announcements, up-to-date health information, and links to extensive mental health information. Depression forums portal also offers a directory menu of links to other areas of our site such as the forums with peer to peer support, information and chatrooms. Each article whether in our Main Menu going into each catagory such as Depression or 'Bipolar' or on the front page under 'Latest News' has an area to click on to 'RATE' the article or to make your own 'COMMENT'! We do look forward to hearing from you!
