Today I did NOT want to get out of bed when my alarm went off. But, I did anyway. Go me! I started my morning routine, but my partner came downstairs and started jibber jabbering (he's a talker) and I didn't end up completing it. But, that's not important. On previous days, more often than not he was already dressed and out the door before I was out of bed, so I count this morning as a win.
I'm working on my thinking as well. Sometimes, I honestly don't even want to get better because it just seems like too much work. So, I have to keep reminding myself that it's worth it and feeling better is worth a little work and it will feel less like work the more I build in habits and routines. I am going to write a few thoughts on index cards. One thought per card, such as "I am worth the effort." and "I am happier when the cat box is clean." and etc. If I can think of funny ways to word them, that's a bonus. I can keep a stack of cards downstairs next to the stove to read through while the coffee's brewing in the morning.
Baby steps!!!!!
