Nights I Can`t Bear

Posted by Lady Mozzer , 29 June 2012 · 133 views

I`ve been having trouble sleeping again.I can`t seem to get to sleep. Then I don`t want to sleep because I can`t get up at a proper time in the morning.I need to get things done like a normal human being.I know I said I missed my up all night days but honestly I don`t want to go back to the way it was.I can`t seem to help it.Things are going back to the way it was.I do miss those days sometimes but I seem to forget how bad for me it was.It was me up all night thinking and just wishing I could sleep. That`s also when I tend to si late at night or early morning.I just don`t want this cycle to go on.

I have also been having difficulty concentrating.I have been trying to read but it`s been hard.I hate this so much.I used to be able to get through a book like nothing. Now it seems that this is even being stolen from me.I just can`t seem to rest.

Okay, so now we know this, you can commit to taking your meds daily to help the situation. If you have bedtime meds that cause insomnia, you can move them gradually back so you take them in the morning. I had to do that with my Lamictal after I got off Haldol. Just got to the morning dosing today after going from bedtime to dinner, to 5 p.m. to 3, 1, 10 a.m. and now breakfast. . It's worth the temporary hassle to get rest.

When I dealt with the temporary insomnia, I made sure I at least laid in bed and rested during a certain amount of hours, so even if I didn't sleep, I wasn't up and about being more stimulated. I know that can be easier said that done. Perhaps your pdoc can offer you something to help you sleep to get back to a regular schedule. Or you can ask if you can try something like valerian root if you want a natural remedy. Just make sure it won't interfere with your meds. We have to be careful about that.

I hope you find some restful sleep soon and feel better! (MORE HUGS)

I'm sorry Lady M! Not being able to sleep really sucks! I think that getting your meds sorted out like Shmooey says will help a lot. (((LadyM)))
