Hey guys.
Had the biopsy done today. Im just glad I got it over with..
My mom and sister went with me and I was pretty nervous on the way there. By the time we got there I think I would have rather just went back home, but I know I had to do this for my health so I had to stay.
So after waiting for thirty minutes or so they come and get me and take me into the room and stuff. They started asking me questions and stuff and then asked if i had taken ibuprofen in the last five days and i was like...ya. He asked me if it had been in the last three days and I lied and said it had been two days ago since i had taken some...oops.They told me not to take "blood thinners" but I looked it up online and i read that ibuprofen was not a blood thinner...so idk. So they said they would have to ask the doc if it would be ok, and if not they would have to reschedual me. I was think ohh please no, I have already prepared for this and I can't wait any longer. So the doc said it was ok.
Everything started happening pretty quickly and a lot of people started to come in the room. One girl had to come in with a microscope so they could look at the sample of cells they had taken to see if they got enough tissue. They must have seen that i was cold, so they put this heated blanket on me. So then we all just had to wait until the doctor came in...
So the doctor comes in and everyones ready to go. I had to be in a weird position where I had a pillow under my shoulders and I had to have my neck kinda stretched. This one "nurse" or "tech" or whatever he was literally grabbed my head and twisted my neck so i was in the right postition. I thought well D*** if you just told me to move my neck I could've done it myself.
Anyways here comes the fun part... so they put this..i guess topical numbing stuff on first. They had an to take an ultrasound at the same time to see exactly where the place is. So by this time i had decided to keep my eyes closed so i wouldn't see anything... but right before i got to close my eyes i get the glimpse of this needle (needles don't usually bother me) right at the perfect time with that one drop of fluid at the end... I was like ok here we go.
So they injected some numbing stuff into my neck and it it hurt a little but not much. Then he injected something else into my neck and thats when things started to go downhill... I starting getting this warming sensation all over my body and it felt like i was going to throw up. I panicked and started to get super hot and felt like I was going to pass out. I was trying to tell the nurse to get the heated blanket off me but at that time the doc was getting the sample and probably didn't want me to move (again oops). I was probably white as a ghost and finally they got it off me and the doc was trying to tell me to slow my breathing down and that I was breathing too fast. They put cold rags on my head and stuff and i started to cool down a little. Luckily they got the right amount of tissue in the first try so they didn't have to do it anymore.
The pathologist came over and told me from what he saw the cells looked benign like he thought they would be and that he would have to look over them again later just to be sure, but he told me to enjoy my weekend and not to worry about it. So im really really thankful that it was nothing bad. No i just have to get the result next week to know for sure but at least they don't think it's cancerous.
The funny part about all this is it doesn't seem like it really happened. It seems like I had a very detailed dream or something... I really need to find out what's making me feel like im not in reality.
I came home and watch the movie "the truman show"... I kinda feel like that's my life. Everyone around me are all actors and im the only real one. Maybe it's the other way around? Im waiting for ashton to pop out and tell i've been punked.
