Is it true that Zoloft has never been proven to be more effective than placebo in males? Somebody told me today. He said, that Zoloft was proven to be more effective than placebo in females but not in males.
I am male and i think Zoloft helps me. oops.gif I am much better. oops.gif

I've never heard that - it definitely works for me!

There are lots of skewed studies out there, and I have even read a study that was misinterpreted as saying placebos were as effective as SSRI's. After having convinced myself I didn't need meds, and consequently crashing despite my belief that I didn't need meds, I can say that they definitely are effective for me. I've proven that to myself the hard way, so I know they're more effective than placebos for me at least.....

Take care,
Dewayne
