I'm in my fifth week of Zoloft, and my ADHD symptoms are through the roof. I can't concentrate on anything for any amount of time, therefore I'm bored and have no motivation. There's no food in the house, but I can't even get motivated enough to go grocery shopping. I try to read (which I love) and I can only do it for small amounts of time because I just lose interest. I don't want to watch movies, listen to music, go shopping, talk on the phone, NOTHING. Everytime I start to try to do something I end up forgetting what I was doing and pacing around the apartment for an hour or so, just daydreaming. Then I come to, and I'm like wow. I just paced around a little one bedroom apartment for that long? What was I gonna do.....Oh ya, I remember, but I don't want to do that anymore. I'm gonna do something else. Then the same thing happens again, I get side tracked and start pacing. Overall I'm feeling much better. The depression has lifted a lot. I'm happy with that, but I think I'm going to talk to my doctor about adding an ADHD med. I have an appointment to see my doc in 2 weeks, so in the mean time, I'm taking Sudafed so that I can concentrate to get through work, and I don't go crazy and attempt to rip my brain out. lol. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this heightened ADHD after starting Zoloft?
Yes! I do have heightened ADD. Ritalin helps. For me, it's a trade off. Would I rather feel depressed, or have problems with ADD? Zoloft has certainly made me more forgetful. I think it's so hard to treat depression and ADD simultaneously... I have yet to find the perfect combo... This is about the closest I've come
