Has anyone had an experience with this drug? I was having anxiety attacks, not major, but enough to cause me concern. My doctor gave me zanax for these attacks. Itook one and a week or so later took another I fell into a deep, suicidal depression. I slept a lot and had strange dreams. I said and did strange things. I don't remember what was going on for a day or two. I had one dream about my car being missing and actually had to go check and see if it was still there when I woke up. I have an appointment with my doctor next week but thought I would ask for your input the meantime. This has been so frightening to me. I have been feeling so well and this was a real surprise. I feel much better today. Evidently I scared my children and don't like that. Please give me so input.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time Marybon.
I presume this is the same med as Xanax (alprazolam). There are several threads on this med in this room. Maybe you can check them out sometime. Hope this helps!

Xanax is used frequently for panic and anxiety. It's supposed to relax you. However, everyone reacts differently to meds. I guess you've been to your doc by now. Did he/she take you off of Xanax or reduce the dose?
