I have been on Lexapro for 6 weeks now (5 weeks at 10 mg and 1 week at 15). For the first 4 weeks, I did not gain any weight, nor did my appetite change. In the last couple of weeks, I have started to feel very bloated and have put on a few pounds despite eating about the same or less than usual. I am also taking the antibiotic Cipro for an infection, but I have not found anything indicating that Cipro can cause weight gain. Is it normal to start gaining weight with Lexapro after a few weeks have already passed?

celexa relaxes my stomach and I usually gain 5-10 pounds.. If I stop taking meds the weight goes away.

I never gained weight while I was on lexapro.

In one whole year of taking lexapro, I think I gained 5 pounds...It's not really an AD that makes you gain weight

I switched from celexa to cymbalta be cause of weight gain. In the last 2 years I have gained like 40 pounds. I am now trying to get off the ad's all together to see if this will help.

have lost 10lbs on Lexapro.....depression use to make me eat whatever to feel better, not anymore
