So I went off generic Paxil in December and by mid January I was completely off. I then started taking 1600 mg SAM-e and 800 mg of EPA (Omega 3). I still had signs of depression so I added 900 mg St Johns Wort a couple weeks ago and I started twitching. It is awful. I thought it was maybe due to a little less exercise and after increasing my exercise realize that is not it.

So is the Paxil I stopped over 2 months ago just now causing this twitching? Or could the St Johns Wort be reacting with my Daytrana? I have the twitching even when I am not wearing the Daytrana.

I have a doctors appt Wed and I am going back on something but I have not decided what. I need an anti-depressant that does not cause weight gain and hopefully with some anti-anxiety properties.

Hi and Welcome to DF ChanelCinq

I am sure the Paxil could not be causing this 2 months after coming off it, but I am not a proffessional. The herbal remedies do also have side effects. Its a good idea to discuss with your doc, when you go in. Wellburtin is an AD that does not make you gain weight.
Have a look through this room on topics for SAM-e and St Johns wort.
Good luck and please let us know how it goes.
