Hi guys,

I have been on Ad's for over a week now, they seem to be starting to work during the day its hard to tell because its still early but i dont feel as down, i go to university everyday and i can just about cope, but when i come home around 5pm i just crash. Im totally exhausted it means that my nights are spent lying in bed watching tv because im too tired to do anything else. I think it might be the Ad's?

Anyone ever had this before?

Hi keepthefaith, It very well could be your medication. Anti-depressants have different side effects in different people. Because your body is adjusting to a new chemical and it's effects, it's no wonder that we have physical symptoms. Also, some anti-depressants can make you sleepy to some extent. I don't know what time you're taking yours. If you take it first thing in the morning, you might try taking it at noon and see if that helps you be more awake for awhile in the evenings (unless you're really enjoying TV in the evenings Coopwink.gif ).

oh yeah, a/d's definitely can make you tired. A lot of times, though, it gets better the longer you take it, so it could be start-up effects. Even if not and it continues to make you tired, try taking it at night or at noon like Iowa mentioned. Feels good not being depressed, huh? 1cat.gif
